I am finally showing a project that I have been working on since 2016. I have been recording daily all of the major news channels on my iPhone to record this time in history. We all know where the idea of “Fake News” comes from and this is our chance to look at all of the records for ourselves. This work is recording the news in a historical context and you can judge for yourself what you think of the information being provided.
Thank you to Aline Smithson founder of LENSCRATCH for awarding my image First Place at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts 6th International Open Call. I was excited to just be included in this All-Star line-up. As I stated in my previous post, I have been able to meet many of the people in this exhibition in the past two-three years and I respect each and every one that I have been honored to meet.
Chaleur Magazine has featured my body of work Thou Art.., Will Give… in their December 19, 2018 issue.
My family and I had a great time visiting CameraWork Gallery in Scranton, PA for my solo exhibition of Thou Art…, Will Give… A few family members from Bethlehem, PA made the trip as well.
I had the pleasure to travel to Eugene, Oregon to present and artist talk and a few class presentations to the students at Lane Community College. I was very impressed with the students and facilities, as well as, the community of people at the college.
Enjoyed my visit to Pittsburg, KS to deliver my artist talk along with a few class presentations. Always great to see the one and only Rhona (Shand) McBain and to meet her wonderful (and very smart) husband Jim.
This image was taken by one of my students David Arkin in the midst of trying to sequence the "Thou Art..., Will Give... exhibition at the Dyer Arts Center. All four galleries were used for the exhibition that served as a marker for my personal completion of the project. Yet to come will be the book so Eastern State Penitentiary can sell it in the gift shop.
A few views of some Gum Bichromate prints for my upcoming exhibition at RIT.
